A Brighter Future........
Priory Park is ambitious. It has ambitious coaches and boxers who strive to reach their goals in the world of boxing. Priory Park has produced many champions at local and national level. With over 40 members and a waiting list just as long to join, the club needs to expand. The current facilites at the gym are fit to burst and in order to progress renovation must take place at Priory Park.

This (above) is a plan of how the gym currently looks. The rest room is non existant, the matted area is a bag and skipping area and the Multi gym area is home to our ring. The impression above is how we would like the gym to look after renovation. The rest area a place for the boxers to wind down after training, watch footage of previous fights and learn from them with the coach. A Multigym area with the correct, safe, equipment to enable to boxers to train on a new level. This is what Head Coach Paul Gough, with the help of the committe, is pushing for. This and the extension plan.

This (above) is what the gym has been granted permission to extend to. This area is at the moment joined onto the back of the "Store" area in the first plan picture and is an open, un-used space at the rear of the gym. As you can see the gym would have two full sized rings and an area to perfom "bleep" and other fitness testing. Also the gym would have what it is lacking now, cleaner fully functioning wash facilities. There would not only be male changing area but a female changing area along with disabled changing with disabled acess to boot. This is the dream for all involved with Priory Park.
Priory Park's achievements are spectacular. Shouldn't it have the facilities to match its sucess?
How much further would the club go with better facilities, improved training regimes, more capacity?
But funding for this is hard to come by.

The basic exterior of the gym (above) is in need of a quick "face lift", but the interior (below) is a whole other story.....

The winning mentality exists at Priory Park. What it now needs is the facilities it deserves.
That is the dream.
Priory Park is always thinking of ways to raise funds to help reach our goals.
